Recently I had a model cancel right before I was a scheduled to mentor someone coming from out of town.
In a pinch I called my sister, who was sleeping (it was only 10 AM after all) and asked her if she could fill in for me and be ready in 10 minutes?
Don't you hate her for rolling out of bed so naturally beautiful?
I just love her (and the resulting images) too much not to share.
I love how confidant she is, just being her.
I love her unique style, she carries it so effortlessly.
I love what a fun relaxed model she is, although maybe that has something to do with her loving me?
I love how beautiful she is, how her eyes sparkle.
I love her for dropping everything, well maybe just sleeping, which is pretty important to a 17 yr old, let's not kid ourselves, to come model for me at a moments notice.
Sigh. I feel so blessed to have sisters that I love so much.

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend a workshop on photography with a group of good friends. I try to do one of these a year, not only because they are fun, but also to network with others and to further my knowledge.
This workshop was lead by the talented Andrea Joki from Ajoton Joki Photography.
To say I had a great time is a serious understatement, not to mention how much I learnt.

I shared this on my FB page a while ago, but I know that many of my readers dont have FB (!) so I wanted to share here as well. Recently I was contacted in regard to contributing an image to be published in Mamarazzi a book geared toward mom's who would like to learn to take better pictures of their children.
Anywhoo I received my copy in the mail a few weeks ago and I'm so excited to show off my image in print!!!
Even though I have contributed images to several magazines I feel like NOW I am published :)

Two things have been long overdue in my life lately.
My almost 15 month old taking his sweet time walking, and my new site going live.
Today I am so excited to announce that there are small steps for Noah and one giant step for Jolee Photography! (haha corny, I know)
After months and months of hard work my new site and blog, not to mention a brand new face of Jolee Photography is finally complete!! I could not be happier with the new look. I hope you love it too!
I would like to give a huge thank you to my talented designer Naftali Wayntraub from http://www.upperleveldesign.com/ who tirelessly (or maybe tiredly) dedicated himself to this project and completely made it what it is.
To celebrate the launching of my new site I will be having a giveaway on my Facebook page later on this week, make sure to look out for it!
Also a reminder, I am currently booking sessions in July, but have limited slots available.
And as for my baby, his tiny steps are taking him places too!
